Glad I bought this pool vac. Sucks up the dirt and silt at the bottom of my 15' x 36" round vinyl pool. Wish the suction was more intense. Vac needs to be right on top of what you want to suck up for the most part. Also, I have to move pretty cautiously so I don't knock the dirt up of the pool floor before the vac has time to suck it up. I do use nylon micro filter bag (basically pantyhose) inside the filter bag that comes with the vac to ensure I'm trapping the silt. The original filter might do the job I just didn't want to chance it.
This vacuum seemed promising, but when I tried to use it to vacume small particles at the bottom of my pool. It would throw them back in the water including the algie and make the water even dirtier then it was prior. The battery life time is small and the suction is very poor from the day I got it to the last time I used it and gave up.
It does it’s job. No mechanical issues so far have used it for 7-8 weeks. What I don’t like it that the plastic brush part quickly becomes distorted by hi outdoor temps. I was keeping it in the shed but needs to brought inside when done. We have bad wild fires in Colorado and it picked up all the ash at the bottom of the pool.
I AM BLOWN AWAY WITH THIS POOL VACUUM... I HAVE 4 POOL VACUUMS AND THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST... IT WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE...IF I HAD TO FIND FAULT IT WOULD BE WITH THE POLE THAT CAME WITH IT... THE POLE IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH FOR THE VACUUM OR LONG ENOUGH...
I was skeptical when it first arrived. Lots of plastic china looking parts. I didnt think it had a chance of lasting or working great. But much to my surprise its awsome. I use it a few times a week on my 12x30 swimming pool. It works on small droppings and dirt so well that i generally only use my large pool pump vac once a month (saving the filters and minimumizing backwashing). I have a sucky setup for backwashing my big pump and this is certainly helping minimumize that. Priced about right.
